UniPadel Connect: the full story of our biggest student padel event in Karachi

UniPadel Connect was our second event and our biggest crowd so far. On Sunday 4 October 2026, students from different universities of Karachi came to Smash X Gulshan to play padel, meet new people and spend one evening together. This post tells the full story of the day, from the idea behind it to the people who made it happen.

What was UniPadel Connect

UniPadel Connect was a padel community event made only for university students. The idea was simple. Bring students from many campuses to one place, put them on court together and let them connect. Our line for the day said it best. Play Beyond Campus. Connect Beyond Limits.

The event ran from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smash X Gulshan in Karachi. The ticket was Rs 800 and any university student in Karachi could register on our website. You did not need a partner and you did not need to know how to play.

Our biggest crowd so far

Our first event was the UniPadel Launch Event on 29 August 2026. UniPadel Connect came just five weeks later and it was much bigger. More than 130 students registered for it. They came from many universities of Karachi, such as Karachi University, NED University and Jinnah Sindh Medical University, along with many more campuses.

University students in Karachi rarely get to meet students from outside their own campus in one place. Changing that is the whole point of UniPadel. A padel court does not care which university card is in your pocket.

Padel for everyone

Padel is played in pairs on a small court with walls. Rallies last longer than in tennis, so beginners enjoy it from the very first game. That is why UniPadel Connect was open to every level, from students who play often to students who had never held a padel racket.

Because you always play with a partner, padel makes it easy to talk to someone new. You plan the next point together. You celebrate a good shot together. That is how strangers from two different universities become friends in one evening.

The team behind the day

UniPadel is run by students for students. Our team and volunteers ran the day, from check in to the last photo. Our student ambassadors spread the word in their own universities and our student creators shared the evening in reels, stories and posts.

Thank you to our sponsors and partners

UniPadel Connect was possible because brands believed in students. Our major sponsors were H3 Technologies, Texnity, Cloud Call Pakistan and SMS Branded. Our major sponsors also joined us at the venue on the day.

Our supporting sponsors and partners were Amal Academy, MindTrek, Clean and Green, Telipano, The X Marketeer, Aura by Zahra, MJ Waters, Meta X Filing and B_.Brownies. Thank you to every one of them for standing with a young student community.

Certificates of appreciation

Before the evening ended we gave certificates of appreciation to the people who supported the event. Our outreach head presented awards in front of the sponsor wall. It was our way of saying thank you to everyone who gave their time and effort.

UniPadel in numbers

UniPadel started on 31 July 2026. In a few months the community has grown to more than 1000 students from universities across Karachi. We have more than 40 student ambassadors and more than 30 student creators. Our events have reached more than 350K people on Instagram alone.

What comes next: UniPadel Rally

Our next event is UniPadel Rally. It is our biggest step yet. We expect more than 200 students for one big evening of padel, live music, table games, giveaways and new friends. It will run from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Karachi. The date and the venue will be announced soon. The ticket is PKR 800.

If you missed UniPadel Connect, do not miss this one. Registration is open on the Events page of our website. Register now, get your own I am attending poster and bring your friends.

Thank you

To every student who came, every volunteer who helped and every brand that supported us, thank you. UniPadel Connect showed what happens when students from every campus share one court. Our goal is to connect all students from each campus on one single platform. We are just getting started.
